**Talking about living abroad!!!** ***Exactly in London!!!*** What do you need to "know" and to "do" before going to live abroad!!! 1° STEP (country) Choose which country you want to know, visit or live! Why? You must know why do you want to go there? If you are going to study or work! You must search how the city works, Like: Jobs, Schools, Nightlife or day life, The weather, Transportation (How much it cost?). Look at the good things and the bad things. And the habits of the native people. 2° STEP (Passport and VISA) If you already have the passport, it's ok, just look at the expired date, If you don't have it you must do it before all. VISA: There's lot's of sites explaining what do you need to get your Visa, but it depends of the way that you're planning to go, for example TO LONDON: If you are going to stay there less than 6 months you don't need to ask for the EC (Entry Clearance) on the British Council in Rio de Janeiro, but if it's more than 6 months you will need. The Entry Clearance EC it's like a PreVISA, when you get in the country "England" they will ask something and depending on they will accept you, or not, and give to you the time that you need. Most of time they give 1 month more than the period of the school. OBS: Before ask for the EC you must have done your registration on the school. 3° STEP (school) Look for the schools and check if the school is on the British Council. As many as you can search, it's better for you. And I know it's not the easy thing. Check and compare the methodology, prices, how many hours they teach (most of than it's 15 hour per week) 3 hours by day. Where is located, 4° STEP (Home Stay) In the first month or 2 weeks you can accept the accommodation from the school, and than after you will decide to changed the place or not. Ask the school one home stay near, that you can go walking, this way you will know your neighborhood and will save money too. It's cheaper with you share a room with someone, and it's a good way to have your first friend there. 5° STEP (Jobs) If you are thinking about going to work, please, search the kinds of jobs, are you going to get there, to not be disappointed with. 6° STEP (Ticket and Translado) How much it cost? If you are going like a student, you have the opportunity to buy a ticket that have the validated for one year. Here in Natal you can buy in any agency, like; Experimento, STB or C&A (cia do intercâmbio) About the prices of the transportation there.it's important to know some aspects. There the transportations are different from here.they pass at the exactly time everyday, and you can choose to buy a ticket for a week, a month or day by day.but it's cheaper if you buy for a month for example. 7° STEP (Budget) Many kinds of budget, as many as you can take, on the net, with friends, and all the agencies. Budget is: What do you do to know how much will you spend! 8° STEP (Talk with your family) Well, people.that's the biggest problem that I have, because my mother doesn't know yet that I'm going.unfortunately she is too pessimist, and all the time that I enter in this subject at home she say's that I'm not a healthier person to even think in live abroad (just because I have a Big allergy) (I'll save this problem before going). For her doesn't matter that it's my big dream, sometimes she says that the problem is, when I came back I will not have my job any more, She doesn't think that when I came back, maybe I'll have the opportunity to find a better job, because I'll came with many kind of LIFE EXPERIENCY and my English it will be better than now.that's my suppose, and I really hope so. But, when you don't have this kind of problem, and your family support this and like motivate you to do it, and say that they are by your side for anything you need.so you are a luck person, because you can't imagine how it's hard to do everything alone. 9° STEP (make friends) Start to make friends that are planning to go, they have lot's of information, that you can't imagine.and people that are already there, it's good too,,,,but most of time, they don't have time to start a new friendship or they just don't have interest that you go.so..be carefully. Keep in touch with many people, different people.for example I have many friends like me, we have the same interest, almost the same age, and they all are not from Natal.I have 4 Friends, Cecília, Milena, Renato, Leandro in São Paulo, 1 (Mila) in MG.and many others. I have a group in my msn called "LONDON" and in this group are only people that are here in BR planning to go to London or people that are already there. including a guy from there. 10° STEP(MONEY) exchange Pay in attention about the exchange, all the time go up and down. 11° STEP (Everything had done) Well, if everything is ok and payed, like: School, ticket, translado, 1° home stay, had booked the ticket. had spoke with family and friends. 12° STEP BAGGAGE.BAGGAGE.BAGGAGE AND GOOD LUCK!!! sorry for my mistakes!! see ya people.. prox post será sobre o mini orçamento q estou fazendo... bjokas by Tecinha
